Report on the Activity:
The English Elocution Competition for Grades VIII and IX was successfully conducted on 21st April 2025 in the Yoga Room. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, each showcasing their oratory prowess with confidence and clarity.
The competition aimed to nurture students’ speaking skills and provide them with a platform to express their thoughts on diverse and thought-provoking topics. Participants were judged on parameters such as content, pronunciation, fluency, expression, confidence, and overall presentation.
The event commenced with a warm welcome, followed by the introduction of the judge, Mrs. Laveena Fernandes and Mrs. Sandhya Tiwari, an experienced educator with a passion for language and literature. Each participant captivated the audience with their eloquence and compelling delivery. The Yoga Room was filled with energy, applause, and admiration for the young speakers.
After the speeches, Mrs. Laveena Fernandes addressed the gathering with a brief yet inspiring speech. She commended the students for their excellent performances, highlighted the importance of effective communication in today’s world, and encouraged them to continue developing their speaking skills with passion and perseverance.
The elocution competition proved to be a rewarding experience that not only honed the students’ communication abilities but also boosted their self-esteem. It served as a stepping stone for many aspiring speakers and was a memorable and enriching event.
