Methods and Practices

St. John International School is affiliated to the CBSE Board and follows the NCERT Curriculum delivered in an environment that is approachable, friendly and attuned to every specific educational need. The School aims at making every student competent with resilience and determination to succeed and face the ever increasing challenges at a global level.

WORKING SCHEDULE

School Hours:

  • Grade VI to XII : 7.30 a.m. to 12.45 p.m.
  • Grade I to V: 1.00 p.m. to 5.35 p.m.

2nd and 4th Saturday of every month will be holiday.

Office Hours:

  • 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.

Principal visiting hours:

  • 1.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. (The Principal may be met at other times by prior appointment only.)

Interaction with the teachers is scheduled on the 4th Saturday of the month.

Note : For matters pertaining to discipline and routine matters of the Primary/ Secondary Sections, you may see the Principal/Supervisor by prior appointment.

No school business will be transacted on Holidays.

SCHOOL EXAMINATIONS/PROMOTIONS

  • Periodic Test will be conducted during regular school hours.
  • Pupil will not be allowed to appear for the examinations unless he has paid all the fees due.
  • Attendance is compulsory for all Periodic Test/Term Examination. Pupils absent from an examination for any reason will not be re-examined. Those absent from an examination without grave reasons and without approval of the Principal will be considered as having failed.
  • Absence from the whole examination or from one or more subjects, involves the loss of marks for these subjects and disqualifies the pupil from an award.
  • Wilful breach of any of the regulations for the conduct of the examination is punishable with expulsion from the examination hall. A pupil found copying or using unfair means in any of the examinations, even if discovered subsequently, may suffer loss of maximum marks.
  • The minimum marks required for a Passing is 33%, for a Credit 50 %, and for a Distinction 70%
  • The result of the examinations are final and cannot be reconsidered.
