“ May we always defeat the demons residing inside us”.

On 11th October 2024, our school celebrated Navratri with great enthusiasm and spirit. The program commenced at 1:00 PM, bringing together students and teachers, all adorned in their finest traditional Navratri attire. Navratri, meaning “nine nights,” is a vibrant Hindu festival dedicated to the worship of Goddess Durga. Each night honours a different form of the goddess, symbolising the triumph of good over evil. The celebration began with a prayer seeking the blessings of Durga, followed by devotional songs performed by students from Grades III, IV, and V. A highlight of the program was a speech on Navratri delivered by a student of Grade V, who eloquently explained the significance of the festival. The students of Grade V presented a captivating skit depicting the battle between Navdurga and the demon king Mahishasura, which received tumultuous applause from the audience. Following this, students were brought down class-wise to the quadrangle for a lively Garba dance. The energy was infectious as everyone joined in, celebrating the spirit of togetherness and joy. The celebration created an atmosphere filled with devotion and cultural pride, culminating in heartfelt wishes for prosperity and positivity, reminding everyone of the importance of overcoming internal demons and fostering goodness within ourselves.
