On the occasion of World Heritage Day, a special assembly was conducted to create awareness about the importance of preserving our rich cultural and historical heritage. Students shared informative insights highlighting India’s diverse traditions, including the unique cultural heritage of the Seven Sisters states—Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura. The assembly emphasized the need to protect both tangible and intangible heritage through meaningful speeches and presentations.

To further enhance students’ understanding and creativity, the school organized various competitions. A Poster Making Competition was conducted for students of Std VI to VII on the theme “Our Heritage, Our Pride.” Students creatively depicted Indian culture through monuments, traditional attire, dances, and festivals, beautifully conveying the message of “Unity in Diversity through Heritage.”

Additionally, a Collage Making Competition with Slogan was organized for students of Std VIII to IX on the theme “Emergency Response for Living Heritage in Contexts of Conflicts and Disasters.” Participants highlighted the importance of safeguarding both tangible and intangible heritage. Their collages effectively portrayed ideas of disaster management, community support, and carried powerful messages such as “Act Before It’s Too Late!”

The celebration successfully promoted awareness, creativity, and a sense of responsibility among students towards preserving our heritage. The enthusiastic participation and remarkable efforts of the students made the event a great success.
