REPORT ON JAL PAKHWADA WEEK AND PRIZE DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY
St. John International School, Palghar, organized a series of meaningful activities during Jal Pakhwada Week with great enthusiasm to promote awareness about water conservation. The programme included a water conservation pledge taken by all students, emphasizing the importance of saving water and using it responsibly. Various competitions were conducted to engage students creatively and intellectually. The Electric Banner Making Competition for Grade XII Science was based on the theme Water Conservation, where students showcased innovative digital designs spreading awareness about saving water. The Essay Writing Competition for Grade IX A on the topic Role of Youth in Water Conservation encouraged students to express their thoughts and responsibilities towards protecting this vital resource. Additionally, an informative lecture was delivered by Mrs. Vidyalakshmi Poojari on Water-Borne Diseases and Safe Handling of Drinking Water, which enhanced students’ understanding of health, hygiene, and preventive measures.
The event concluded with the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where winners of the competitions were awarded certificates. Students and teachers actively participated in all activities, reflecting creativity, awareness, and enthusiasm. Vice Principal Mrs. Laveena Fernandes appreciated the sincere efforts of all participants and encouraged students to continue contributing towards environmental conservation. All participants were recognized for their involvement, making the event both educational and inspiring. The programme was a grand success, leaving a lasting message on the importance of water conservation among everyone present.
