Inter-School competition “Vaani Utsav”

Time: 8 am onwards
Learning outcome: Participation in Vaani Utsav helped students enhance their communication, public speaking, language, creativity, and presentation skills. The activities developed their confidence, critical thinking, reasoning, listening, and expression abilities. Students also learned the importance of discipline, preparation, teamwork, healthy competition, and accepting feedback, while gaining valuable experience in presenting themselves confidently before an audience.
St. John International School enthusiastically participated in the inter-school competition “Vaani Utsav”, organized to provide students with a platform to showcase their communication skills, creativity, confidence, and command over different languages. The event brought together students from various schools and encouraged healthy competition and meaningful learning.
Our students Parth Salunkhe and Zayna Shaikh of grade IX A, Sanchi Ghodke of grade VIII B and Krutika Ghodke of V A, participated in three different categories:
- Marathi Storytelling Competition
- English Elocution Competition
- Hindi Debate Competition
The students prepared diligently for their respective events and presented their performances with confidence and enthusiasm.
The participation of our students brought great pride and recognition to the school. Two students secured outstanding positions in their respective competitions:
Parth Salunkhe of Grade IX secured First Position in the Hindi Debate Competition, demonstrating excellent debating skills, logical thinking, confidence, and effective communication while presenting his arguments. Sanchi Vijaykumar Ghodke of grade VIII secured First Position in the English Elocution Competition, delivering a confident and expressive performance with excellent pronunciation, voice modulation, fluency, and presentation skills.
The participation of St. John International School in Vaani Utsav was a highly enriching and successful experience.
The event provided students with an excellent opportunity to learn beyond the classroom, develop their communication and presentation skills, and gain confidence through real-world experiences. Such competitions play an important role in the holistic development of students and motivate them to strive for excellence.
