All of us do not have equal talents. But, all of us have an equal opportunity to develop our talents.”          _ A.P.J Abdul Kalam

The school celebrated Vachan Prerna Diwas (Reading Day) on 15th October in honour of our beloved former President, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, on his birth anniversary. Dr. Kalam, known for his intellectual brilliance and deep love for reading and writing, inspired countless people, especially students, to cultivate a passion for learning. This special day was observed to emphasise the importance of reading and to motivate students to develop reading as a valuable habit.

The day’s activities began with a speech on the importance of reading, delivered by students from Grade V during the morning assembly. In addition to the speech, an ‘Author Study’ session was conducted for the students of Grade V. Each student researched and presented about their favourite author or poet. This activity encouraged the students to explore the lives and works of literary figures, fostering a deeper understanding of literature. The students of Grade IV participated in a special task where they were asked to find and recite a poem by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. This not only paid tribute to his legacy but also helped the students connect with his thoughts through his own words. Overall, Vachan Prerna Diwas was a meaningful event that successfully instilled the value of reading among students.
