Dates: 7th April to 9th April 2025
Venue: St. John International School

Report on the Activity:

As part of our commitment to the overall well-being of students, St. John International School organized its Annual Health Check-up from 7th to 9th April 2025 for Grades I to V. The initiative was carried out in compliance with CBSE guidelines, which mandate regular health screenings for school children to promote early detection and prevention of health issues. The check-up began on 7th April, in conjunction with World Health Day, to emphasize the importance of good health and hygiene among students. The theme of World Health Day 2025, “My Health, My Right”, was highlighted during morning assemblies to spread awareness about the importance of physical and mental well-being.

The three-day health camp included the following screenings:

  • Dental Check-up: Qualified dental professionals conducted thorough dental examinations to assess oral hygiene, check for cavities, gum issues, and alignment problems. Preventive advice was given to students regarding brushing techniques, sugar intake, and the importance of regular dental visits.
  • Eye Check-up: Experienced optometrists conducted vision screenings to detect any early signs of eye strain, refractive errors, or other visual impairments. Students identified with potential issues were given referral slips and advised to consult a specialist for further diagnosis and corrective measures.

The check-ups were conducted grade-wise to ensure minimal disruption to academic schedules. Health reports for all students will be compiled and maintained in individual student records, as per the school health monitoring policy. The Annual Health Check-up was a successful initiative that reinforced the school’s focus on not just academic excellence but also health and wellness as an integral part of student development.
