Learning outcome of the Activity:

  • To provide participants with hands-on experience in crafting various chocolate while also imparting knowledge about the process, ingredients, and techniques involved.
  • To provide Attendees to improve their chocolate-making skills, gaining confidence in their abilities to create various chocolate treats.
  • To encourage participants to explore their creativity by experimenting with different flavors, decorations, and presentations
  • To serve as a stepping stone to starting a chocolate business, providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge

Report on the activity

SSJCHS organized a Chocolate-Making Workshop for students of Grades 10 to 12 from 3rd July to 5th July 2025, conducted in two batches each day from 10:15 AM to 1:30 PM.

The workshop provided students with hands-on experience in the art and science of chocolate making. It began with an induction session, where students learned about the journey of chocolate—from cocoa beans to the bars and treats we see on store shelves.

Students were then introduced to the practical process, beginning with tempering, where they carefully melted chocolate to achieve the perfect texture. This was followed by moulding, where the liquid chocolate was poured into creative shapes. Once frozen, the chocolates were demoulded and wrapped by the students themselves.

Every student proudly took home the chocolates they made, adding a personal touch to the experience.

The chocolate-making workshop was a delightful and enriching experience that not only taught students culinary techniques but also fostered teamwork, patience, and attention to detail. It was truly a sweet success!
