Diwali Celebration

‘Let us move from untruth to truth and from darkness to light.’ The celebration of Diwali, ‘The festival of lights’ came alive at St John International School when the whole school wore a festive look with Diya’s and lanterns adorning the corridors. The day started with a special morning assembly wherein students delivered speeches on the significance of the festival and songs which brought out the essence of the festival -celebration of life and goodness.

An Inter-house Rangoli competition (house wise) was conducted for the students of grade IX which added the perfect setting of the festivity. The students of class VI continued the Diwali celebration with the painting of Diya’s, Grade VII were involved in Diwali Card Making and Toran making, Grade VIII prepared lanterns and Diya cut-outs with decorative materials and grade XI had lantern making activity.

All the activities permeated the school premises with an atmosphere of togetherness and hope. The entire activities, competition and festive atmosphere filled the hearts of all the students with the spirit of Diwali and they enjoyed the celebration wholeheartedly.
