Learning outcome of the Activity: Students will explain the significance of Dussehra as the victory of good over evil.
Students will identify common Dussehra rituals and customs like effigy burning and processions.
Report on the Activity:
St. John International School, Palghar celebrated Dussehra with great enthusiasm and joy. The program was organized for students of Grade 1 to 5, highlighting the cultural and traditional significance of the festival.
The celebration began with a speech on the importance of Dussehra, reminding everyone of the victory of good over evil. This was followed by a beautiful Garba singing performance presented by the students of Grade IV, which filled the atmosphere with festive energy and joy.
Later, the school organized a Garba Day celebration, where students from Grade 1 to 5 participated enthusiastically. Dressed in colorful traditional attire, the children danced gracefully to the beats of Garba music and enjoyed the festivities.
The event concluded with cheers and laughter, spreading the message of unity, positivity, and celebration of culture. It was truly a memorable day for all the students.
