English Language Day
“To learn a language is to have one more window from which to look at the world”
Introduction: English Day in our school’s Primary Section was an event filled with enthusiasm, creativity, and a celebration of language. Held on 30th April 2024, it aimed to foster a love for English language and literature among young learners. The event was meticulously planned and executed, offering various activities and opportunities for students to showcase their language skills.
Activities:
- Grade I and II ( Show and tell Competition)The day commenced with the show and tell competition that allowed our youngest students to showcase their communication skills, creativity, and confidence. The competition provided an enriching platform for students to share their interests, experiences, and cherished possessions with their classmates and teachers.
- Grade III and IV (Storytelling Narration):The storytelling competition provided an opportunity to the students to narrate their favourite stories. From classic folktales to Fiction stories, the stage was filled with vibrant narratives, showcasing the creativity and imagination of our young storytellers.
- Grade V ( English Elocution) : The event provided a platform for Grade V students to hone their public speaking skills and showcase their ability to articulate thoughts and emotions.
Conclusion: English Day in the Primary Section was a resounding success, providing students with a platform to showcase their language skills, creativity, and passion for English literature. Through a diverse range of activities, the event not only celebrated the English language but also inspired students to explore its richness further. It was a day filled with learning, laughter, and linguistic delight, leaving a lasting impression on everyone involved.
