Eye and Skin Check-up
St. John International School has always been a pioneer for providing proper health care to its students. To carry forward this tradition SJIS in association with Department of Ophthalmology (Gauri Clinic) organized an eye check up camp from 18 November 2019 to 20 November 2019 for students of Grade I to X.
The Eye Specialist Dr. Anand Kurudukar from Gauri Clinic examined the students with their state of art equipments. The objective of the general eye check up was to facilitate early deficiency among the children and provide tips on caring for and protecting their eyes. The students were provided with their individual health card with all the details written in it. Students who needed further treatment were advised to go for specialists.

In addition to this series, a skin check-up camp was also organized in school premises to benefit the students, suffering from various skin problems and to bring in awareness. Dr. Aditi Kurdukar from Gauri Clinic acted as the resource person of the day. While examining the students Grade I to X, she equipped them with detailed knowledge of various skin problems which occur during various seasons of the year. She also suggested many precautions, which one has to take in this age group. She guided that Adulterated food, less intake of water, lack of sufficient quantity of vitamins can cause several skin disparities. She also insisted upon adopting the habit of eating healthy and balanced food, ample intake of water and regular work outs.
Principal Sr. Apoline Pais thanked the resource persons. She also motivated the students to follow suggestions given to them for healthy skin.
