Report on the Activity:
Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated with great reverence and enthusiasm at St. John International School, Palghar on 1st October. Students from Grade 1 to 5 actively participated in the program, which highlighted the life and values of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.
The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp by our Vice Principal, Mrs. Laveena Fernandes, symbolizing peace and truth. This was followed by the soulful rendition of Mahatma Gandhi’s favourite bhajan which created an atmosphere of devotion and respect. Students also delivered inspiring speeches on the principles of truth, non-violence, and simplicity that Gandhiji stood for.
Their words reflected the importance of following Gandhiji’s path in today’s world.The program concluded with a message encouraging everyone to adopt Gandhiji’s ideals in their daily lives. The celebration was a meaningful reminder of his timeless values and their relevance for all generations.
