Hindi Diwas is celebrated every year on September 14. On September 14, 1949, the constituent assembly decided that Hindi would be the official language of India.This day also marks the birth anniversary of Beohar Rajendra Simha, who was an Indian scholar, and on his 50th birthday, Hindi was adopted as an official language. Hindi Diwas is celebrated annually throughout the country to promote the language across the country. Hindi is not only limited to India; it has a wide scope outside India in countries like Fiji, New Zealand, Singapore, and Mauritius.
A special assembly was conducted by the students with the help of the Hindi Teachers. Student of Grade VI A Jisha Patel gave information on Hindi diwas and its importance. Students performed a dance depicting the importance and affection of Hindi language and sang a song on the occasion of Hindi Diwas. Competitions were conducted for the students like Character Portrayal competition. The event was a success as maximum numbers of students participated in it and contributed their skills and talents. The objective of the competition was to improve the speaking skills and acting skills as well as the confidence of the students.
