Investiture Ceremony
“Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life.”
To inculcate the leadership qualities in the students, the Student council was formed after deliberate discussions and consensus of the primary section teachers.
The Investiture ceremony of St. John International School (Primary section) was held with great enthusiasm and dignity in the school premises. The ceremony was presided over by the Principal, Sr. Veena Monteiro.
The proud parents of the student council also graced the occasion. The School Band played the drums as the students marched towards the stage with due respect.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp ceremony followed by a prayer song by the choir group. The choir group displayed an energetic performance to show team spirit. The elected leaders were conferred with badges and sashes by honourable Principal Sr. Veena Monteiro.
The house mistresses of different houses (Red, Blue, Green, Yellow) were also a part of the ceremony.
The student council took oath to hold the school motto and values of truth and loyalty in high esteem. The Head Boy, Mst. Manan Girase and Head Girl-Juhi Badhe, delivered eloquent speeches.
Sr. Veena Monteiro congratulated the members of Student Council and advised them to be impartial and honest in discharging their duties. She also appreciated them and advised them to be role models and work for the benefits of the students. She also extended a supporting hand to the student council for the smooth running of the school.
Ms. Priyanka Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks. The event concluded with the National Song.
