Language Exhibition (2019-20)

Language is the most massive and inclusive art we know, a mountainous and anonymous work of unconscious generations. Language shapes the way we think and determines what we can think about. It is the most powerful means of communication and an integral part of being human.

St John International has always tried to arouse creativity among its young learners through various scholastic and co-scholastic activities. It always takes the initiative to provide a platform to students so that they can exhibit their creative talents in various fields.

In this regard on Open Day 24th August 2019, the School Open Day as a part of the Experiential learning methodology propagated by CBSE, the school Language Club organized a language exhibition for three languages taught in the school ( i.e. English, Hindi and Marathi), wherein students of Grade I to X exhibited their creative skills in form of creating beautiful models, language games, charts, poems, Grammar rules, puppets etc. The in-charge teacher’s and the students’ efforts were displayed in the school’s – Auditorium. The children were highly appreciated by the parents and the school principal, Sr. Apoline Pais. They were impressed by the hard work put in by the students.

The students of Grade X put up an awareness campaign on ‘Domestic Waste Disposal’. They informed the stakeholders about the various kinds of waste and segregating majorly into wet and dry waste and its utmost need in the present time. They also filled questionnaire on how the house hold wastes are being disposed in their surrounding areas. Parents appreciated such a wonderful movement by the students and Mr Chandan Shah – a parent of the school wants to take this movement a step ahead by taking this report and questionnaire to the District Collector so that better ways are implemented for keeping the Palghar region clean.
