“NUTRITION ISN’T JUST ABOUT EATING, IT’S ABOUT LEARNING TO LIVE”
The Primary Section of our school enthusiastically celebrated Nutrition Week from 8th September to 14th September. The aim of the celebration was to create awareness among children about the importance of healthy eating habits and nutritious food for growth and well-being. Throughout the week, a variety of engaging activities were organized for the students. Children participated in the activity where they had to prepare a booklet of the following: “Meal Color Count”,”From Grandma’s Table to Yours: Nutritional Wisdom”,”Daily Herb Discoveries”, “Recipe Sharing – My Healthy Recipe Booklet”etc.
Also grade 5th students spoke about their research topics and its benefits to the lower class children. This activity gave a chance to students to speak confidently and share their ideas. A Healthy Tiffin encouraged parents and students to prepare simple yet nutritious meals.
Teachers guided the children through fun-filled discussions on the benefits of avoiding junk food and including fruits, vegetables, cereals, pulses and milk in their daily diet. The week-long celebration helped children understand that “Health is Wealth” and inspired them to make healthy food choices in their daily lives. The activities not only built awareness but also motivated students to share this knowledge with their families. The celebration of Nutrition Week was a great success and left a positive impact on our young learners.
