Report of the activity:
The Raksha Bandhan activity at St. John International School, Palghar, began with a brief explanation of the festival’s cultural significance, highlighting the ritual where a sister ties a rakhi on her brother’s wrist to symbolize love, protection, and good wishes. All primary section students participated in wearing vibrant traditional attire, creating a festive atmosphere. The students expressed their creativity by making personalized rakhis using beads, decorative eco-friendly materials and crafted heartfelt greeting cards for our brave soldiers. The event concluded with a reflection on the importance of Raksha Bandhan, family, and sibling relationships. This celebration effectively engaged students in creative activities, social interactions, and teamwork while deepening their understanding of the cultural tradition.
