 Report of the activity:

The Raksha Bandhan activity at St. John International School, Palghar, began with a brief explanation of the festival’s cultural significance, highlighting the ritual where a sister ties a rakhi on her brother’s wrist to symbolize love, protection, and good wishes. To engage the students, a demonstration of the rakhi-tying ritual and the exchange of good wishes was conducted. All primary section students participated in wearing vibrant traditional attire, creating a festive atmosphere. The girls expressed their creativity by making personalized rakhis using beads and decorative materials, while the boys crafted heartfelt greeting cards for their sisters. After completing their crafts, the students exchanged rakhis and greeting cards, sharing smiles and good wishes. The event concluded with a reflection on the importance of Raksha Bandhan, family, and sibling relationships. This celebration effectively engaged students in creative activities, social interactions, and teamwork while deepening their understanding of the cultural tradition.
