St. John International School always instill the value of Sardar’s above quote to their children. School does honour the Iron Man of India and hence celebrate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) on 31st October 2020.
Students actively participated in the National Unity Day online celebration. A throng of activities were organized all through the day to support the cause of promoting unity and celebrating “National Unity Day”. The energetic children were involved in several activities as follows,
Grade I-V had Oath taking, poster making on the theme ‘Unity in diversity in India’ and online quiz. The virtual celebration started with a group oath taking by the teachers and students. The basic idea was to enable students to appreciate the value of synergic effort rather than individual effort so that students go back to the society as ambassadors of unity, peace and equality. After the oath taking, an online poster making contest was organized for the students to display their creativity. The contest received a huge response as total 364 out of 433 students participated in the online contest. The students were also encouraged to play the online quiz on unity day on my gov portal.
Grade VI-VIII participated in Oath taking, Online Debate Competition and Essay Writing Competition. In all 130 out of 182 students participated.
Grade IX-XI took the Unity oath as well as participated in Quiz Competition. In all 65 out of 87 students participated.
