Report on the Activity:
On 17th and 18th July 2026, 19 students from Grades VII to IX of St. John International School, Palghar participated in the Robotex India National Championship – 2026 held at the World Peace Dome, MIT-ADT University, Pune.
The students were guided by Mentor Teachers Mr. Kunal More and Mrs. Pratiksha Sankhe throughout the championship. The event brought together over 7,000 participants from schools, colleges, and engineering institutions across India and featured competitions such as Line Follower, LEGO Line Follower, Mini Sumo, Mega Sumo, Drone Aviation, Maze Solver, and Entrepreneurship Challenge.
St. John International School participated with four teams in the Line Follower (Open Category), where 67 teams competed. Despite competing against engineering college students and experienced robotics enthusiasts, two teams qualified for the finals, reflecting the students’ excellent technical skills and preparation.
Students actively designed, programmed, tested, and optimized their robots while demonstrating outstanding teamwork, creativity, and determination throughout the competition.
Performance Highlights:
- 19 students represented the school.
- 4 teams participated in the Line Follower (Open Category).
- 2 teams qualified for the Final Round.
- The team of Ana Nilesh Patil (Captain), Niharika Harshad Sankhe, Vruddhi Deepak Pitale, Jisha Jayeshkumar Patel, and Nishta Vishal Mali secured Third Prize, won a cash prize of ₹30,000, and qualified for the Robotex International Championship in South Korea, where they will represent India.
Achievement:
The school achieved an outstanding milestone by securing Third Prize in the Line Follower (Open Category) and earning qualification for the Robotex International Championship in South Korea, bringing great pride to St. John International School and the Palghar district.

The Robotex India National Championship – 2026 was a valuable learning experience that enhanced students’ technical knowledge, confidence, creativity, and teamwork. The competition inspired students to innovate and excel in robotics while reinforcing the school’s commitment to promoting STEM education and preparing young innovators for national and international platforms.
