Learning outcome of the Activity:
The female teacher staff & school helpers analyze how criminal laws have historically been shaped by gender biases and the impact these biases have on the legal treatment of women.
Examine how laws and legal practices might discriminate against or disadvantage women, particularly in areas such as sexual assault, domestic violence, and trafficking.
Report on the Activity:
The Seminar was conducted on 1/April/2025 at St. John International school.It was conducted by Mrs. Jagruti Patil who provided a detailed overview of the pressing legal challenges that women face in contemporary society. The importance of awareness and knowledge of legal provisions to protect women from violence and exploitation was emphasized. The Domestic Violence Act and the various legal remedies available to women were discussed.
The Dowry Prohibition Act was elaborated and discussed.The session was filled with awareness and providing a platform for women to understand their legal rights and protections under criminal laws.
