The students of Grade IX of St. John International School celebrated the International women’s Day on 9th March 2020. The theme for this year was ‘I am Generation Equality; Realizing Women’s Rights’. The morning assembly began with a prayer and a prayer song. Nishita Shivde gave the introduction and the importance of day which was then followed by Laxmi Sharma who spoke on different women achievers. The thought for the day was ‘The idea of perfect women hood is perfect independence’. The choir group members sang a song on women empowerment. A fashion show of famous women achievers in different fields was held and information was given on the same. A dance was performed by the students depicting the importance of girl child. The Principal enlightened the students about the role women’s play in our daily life. Later, girls in each class were designated as the class monitor for the day. As per the topics allotted the subject teachers presented the PowerPoint presentation and explained in the class.
