WORLD TOURISM DAY

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a massive social and economic impact. Both developed and developing economies have been hit. Marginalized groups and the most vulnerable have been hit hardest of all. The restart of tourism will help kick start recovery and growth. It is essential that the benefits this will bring are enjoyed widely and fairly.
World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) has therefore designated World Tourism Day 2021 as a day to focus on “Tourism for Inclusive Growth.”
World Tourism Day, celebrated each year on 27th September, is the global observance day fostering awareness of tourism’s social, cultural, political and economic value and the contribution that the sector can make towards reaching the Sustainable Development Goals. This year’s theme is ‘Tourism for Inclusive Growth.’
On account of this occasion, St. John International School, Palghar conducted Poster drawing and PPT making activities for the students of Grade VI to X. The students were informed well in advanced regarding the activities and the celebration. All the students were asked to participate in this activities and send Pictures of poster and PPT. Large number of students participated and prepared beautiful poster and PPT. Through the poster and their presentation, they raised awareness on the role of global tourism and demonstrate its influence on social, political, cultural and economic values worldwide.
